Dear Author of Poster Presentation, This note is to brief you on presenting a poster at CVPR 2000, but first a couple of brief reminders: HOTEL RESERVATION CUT-OFF DATE: FRIDAY MAY 19. Reservations received after this date will be accepted by the hotel on a space available basis at the conference rates. See the conference web site or http://www.eecs.lehigh.edu/~tboult/CVPR2000/ for details. ADVANCED REGISTRATION DEADLINE: MONDAY, MAY 22. Registration fees will go up after this date. See the conference web site or https://secure.computer.org/conf/cvpr/register.htm for details. Now for some poster details 1) Each poster board is 40 inches wide by 60 inches high. The boards are foam core, and will take thumbtacks, which will be available. You want to check that your poster fits the poster board. 2) There will be two sets of poster boards, one for the morning session and one for the afternoon session; the boards will be available in the morning of your session and should be returned after your session. 3) There will be multiple, shared tv-vcr combinations in each poster session for showing movies, etc. If you plan to show a video tape, please let us know so that we have a sufficient number. Email to David Forsyth (daf@cs.berkeley.edu) please. 4) There will not be tables or power for laptops to give demos at your poster. 5) The poster sessions are deliberately long, so most people can see most posters if they want to. Plan for at least one co-author to remain at the poster throughout the session; it's a great way to meet people and chat in depth about your work. best David Forsyth and David Kriegman
